How Green Hydrogen Could End The Fossil Fuel Era | Vaitea Cowan | TED
As climate change accelerates, finding clean alternatives to fossil fuels is more urgent than ever. Social entrepreneur Vaitea Cowan believes green hydrogen is the answer. Watch as she shares her team's work mass producing electrolyzers -- devices that separate water into its molecular components: hydrogen and oxygen -- and shows how they could help make green, carbon-free fuel affordable and accessible for everyone. "This is how we end the fossil fuel era," Cowan says.

Hydrogen: The Biggest Lie In Renewable Energy
As the oil and gas industry achieves success in pushing the world towards widespread adoption of methane-based blue hydrogen, some unexpected voices are calling out the industry on its deception of selling blue hydrogen as an affordable and clean source of energy. In August, Chris Jackson resigned as head of the UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association, calling blue hydrogen an “expensive distraction.” To support his argument against blue hydrogen, Jackson accused the oil and gas companies pushing blue hydrogen of making false claims about the fuel’s true costs, noting that the UK Treasury has “been told that blue hydrogen is cheap.” A recent opinion piece at oil industry publication OilPrice.com, noting Jackson’s comments on the high cost of blue hydrogen, ran with the title “Exposing The B...

With this technology you can produce your own Hydrogen at home for free
So we all know that I am extremely pro-Hydrogen. I believe that Hydrogen is the fuel that will power our future, from our cars to even power systems. But there are some problems with the fuel, namely a lack of infrastructure, storage and production costs. Now in the last year huge leaps have been made in all of these fields, making the technology more and more viable.
But this company from Belgium just created the technology that I feel proves the viability of Hydrogen. Firstly how would you feel if you could fuel your car for free? If you could produce hydrogen that can be used to power your house, all of this for free. Toyota is already busy building systems that burn Hydrogen to power our houses. The only thing we need is the Hydrogen, and with this technology we wouldn’t need to buy ...

As the oil and gas industry achieves success in pushing the world towards widespread adoption of methane-based blue hydrogen, some unexpected voices are calling out the industry on its deception of selling blue hydrogen as an affordable and clean source of energy. In August, Chris Jackson resigned as head of the UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association, calling blue hydrogen an “expensive distraction.” To support his argument against blue hydrogen, Jackson accused the oil and gas companies pushing blue hydrogen of making false claims about the fuel’s true costs, noting that the UK Treasury has “been told that blue hydrogen is cheap.” A recent opinion piece at oil industry publication OilPrice.com, noting Jackson’s comments on the high cost of blue hydrogen, ran with the title “Exposing The Blue Hydrogen Lie.” Hydrogen and its derivatives could cover up to 12% of global energy demand and account for 10% of reductions in carbon emissions by 2050, according to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), although other estimates are lower. "Green hydrogen can be a game changer for the energy transition," said Francesco La Camera, IRENA's director-general, noting the fuel's particular advantage in hard-to-electrify sectors such as transportation and heavy industry. There are several ways to produce hydrogen, but almost all of it currently in production uses methane (natural gas) as the feedstock, with non-renewable energy powering that production. This process is called steam reforming, and breaks down methane into hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The result is what is known as “gray hydrogen,” or, if technology is used to capture the carbon dioxide emissions released during production, it becomes known as “blue hydrogen.” In this video, We are discussing about Hydrogen: The Biggest Lie in Renewable

The only thing we need is the Hydrogen, and with this technology we wouldn’t need to buy the Hydrogen.
KU Leuven researchers in Belgium have created a hydrogen solar panel that directly converts water vapor from the air into hydrogen gas. Now if their claims are true this solar panel produces 250 litres of Hydrogen a day. They are developing it under the Solhyd project, which is now in a transition phase from research to spinoff.
So how does these panels work?
Lets find out

Thanks For watching Our Video; China's NEW Hydrogen Breakthrough Will DESTROY The Entire Oil And Gas Industry!
Let's start by talking about green hydrogen. It's a cool and eco-friendly type of energy that helps us move towards a greener economy. We use a process called electrolysis, where we split water into hydrogen and oxygen using electricity from renewable sources like the sun and wind.
The best part is that this process doesn't produce harmful carbon dioxide, so it's good for the environment. Green hydrogen is super versatile too! We can use it as a clean fuel in lots of different industries, like transportation, manufacturing, and power generation.
And by using green hydrogen, we can reduce carbon emissions and make our future more sustainable. China Energy Engineering Corporation recently shared some exciting news about their plan to construct a large green hydrogen facility in Egypt.
This awesome project resulted from an agreement between China and Egypt, showing their shared dedication to eco-friendly energy and sustainability. It's worth noting that the Chairman of China Energy attended a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
He highlighted the importance of this partnership and their joint efforts to promote clean and renewable energy solutions. This ambitious initiative clearly proves China and Egypt's united vision of leading the way toward a greener, more sustainable future.
The green hydrogen plant in Egypt is a big project that aims to produce hydrogen using renewable energy. It will be built in two parts, each adding to the plant's overall capacity. In the first part, they will set up a solar park and a wind farm to generate electricity.
This electricity will then be used in the electrolysis process, where water molecules will be split to create hydrogen. The electrolysis facility, which is an important part of the plant, will use renewable energy from the solar park and wind farm.
The next step in the project is to build a plant that makes ammonia. They'll use the hydrogen they've produced to make this ammonia. Ammonia has lots of uses, and they plan to sell it to European markets.
Making ammonia is a big part of the project because it helps them make more things to sell. It also gives Egypt a chance to make more money by selling this eco-friendly product abroad. The green hydrogen plant in Egypt will be able to produce 140,000 tonnes of green hydrogen every year once it finishes both phases.
More Details In The Video
This huge amount of hydrogen can really change Egypt's energy situation and help the country move towards renewable energy sources.
Also, by planning to sell ammonia to Europe, Egypt wants to take advantage of the increasing worldwide need for clean energy and earn valuable money from other countries.
EGYPT'S AMBITIOUS GOALS AND INCENTIVES
Egypt has big plans for renewable energy.
They want to produce 42% of their energy from clean sources by 2035.
This shows that Egypt is serious about using sustainable energy.
They are even willing to offer incentives and support to attract investments in green hydrogen and other eco-friendly projects.
The government really wants to make it easy for renewable energy initiatives to happen. They're offering a whole package of incentives to attract investors and simplify regulations.
Egypt is determined to become a top player in renewable energy, and they're creating an environment that makes it happen.
China Energy and Egypt have been working together in the energy sector for a while, showing that they have a strong partnership.
China Energy has done several energy projects in Egypt since 2009, proving its knowledge and experience in this area.
And the new agreement they signed shows that both China Energy and Egypt have the same goal of promoting sustainable energy.
This shows that they trust and believe in each other, strengthening their partnership as they work together to transition to cleaner and greener energy solutions.
